About Me
After spending 5 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and then attending a trade college earning a minor degree in programming, I landed my first corporate job as a programmer and then DP manager. I started in the IT industry when Wang & Commodore 64’s were around, but I don’t really like to talk about that because it gives my age away
.
I’ve had an interesting career and have always been an entrepreneur at heart. After starting my first business (with my boss at the time), a Software City franchise, I went back to school and completed my BBA. I then went on to own a couple of software consulting companies, managed IT training schools, moved into sales & marketing, and then had an fun, educational and interesting time during the dot-com era with Earthweb & another dot-com, and became a casualty of the dot-bombs (twice).
I did learn a lot in those fast-paced years and do miss them, and have always been intrigued by the internet’s potential. I have since focused more and educated myself further in online marketing and now provide online marketing services and consulting, blog design, as well as, being an online publisher (a.k.a. ‘blogger’) and affiliate marketer.
These days I spend time between our cottage in Canada and our home in the U.S. When I’m not working, I’m playing with my youngest daughter, talking on the phone with my daughter who is away at college, or riding the harley. Sometimes there’s not enough hours in the day!
